Web of Science online workshop
The Croatian Association for Scholarly Communication (CROASC or ZNAK) and the National and University Library in Zagreb, in collaboration with Clarivate, organized the Web of Science online workshop for Croatian journal editors, which was held on 7 February 2024.
At the workshop, Dr Mireia Guardingo (Head of Editorial Outreach, Web of Science) covered the following topics:
- Web of Science journal evaluation criteria
- Editorial evaluation process
- Journal submission procedure
- Assessment activity examples.
The registrations has been open until 1 February 2024.
About the lecturer:
Mireia Guardingo is responsible for ensuring that WoS editorial policies, selection process and evaluation criteria are clearly understood. She joined Clarivate in 2020 as Head of Editorial Outreach. Before joining Clarivate, Mireia was the Knowledge Management Technician at the Bellvitge Institute of Biomedical Research (IDIBELL), where she managed the institute’s research activity information. Prior to her time at IDIBELL she held several editorial roles at the open access publisher MDPI, she was part of the editorial team of the journal Molecules and Managing Editor of the International Journal of Turbomachinery, Propulsion and Power. She also represented the company at scientific events and coordinated editorial activities between the company’s offices in China and teams in Barcelona. Mireia holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a PhD in Chemistry from the same university and the Catalan Institute on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2).
